ARC Raiders adds first new trader next week as major update cadence slows

ARC Raiders is changing how it handles progression and updates. Embark Studios has confirmed that the game’s first new trader will arrive next week, targeted at late-game players who need more reasons to keep extracting. The trader will unlock at level 25 and offer rare rewards, cosmetics, sporadic quests and exchanges for high-value items. More importantly, the trader will provide extra stash space and an Expedition Vault that lets players carry over five items when wiping their account. That directly addresses one of the biggest extraction-game pain points: the feeling that late-game loot has nowhere meaningful to go. The less popular part of the news is update cadence. Embark is slowing major updates to twice a year, with the next big update not expected until October. For dedicated players, that is a long wait. The new trader may soften the endgame lull, but ARC Raiders still has to prove it can maintain momentum with slower content drops. Extraction games live on tension, progression and trust. Embark is trying to rebuild all three.
