Blades of Fire comes to Steam alongside major 2.0 update

Blades of Fire gets a second chance today with its Steam launch and version 2.0 update. MercurySteam’s dark fantasy action-adventure first launched last year on PS5, Xbox Series and PC via Epic Games Store, but the new Steam version arrives with major additions and improvements. The 2.0 update includes New Game Plus, Titanium difficulty, a Boss Revival-style challenge structure, Transmutation crafting, Anvil Trials, Photo Mode, additional Arcana systems and expanded combat polish. That is a substantial update, not just a storefront migration. Blades of Fire always had a strong core idea: forge weapons with different materials, shapes and properties, then use them against enemies whose bodies and armor respond differently. The problem was that the original release did not fully break through the noise. Steam gives the game access to a larger PC audience, while 2.0 gives lapsed or curious players a better reason to try it. If the new systems tighten progression and replayability, Blades of Fire may finally get a fairer look.
