Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core gets PSA-style story and gameplay trailer
Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core has dropped a new PSA-style story and gameplay trailer, and it frames the spin-off exactly as fans would want: corporate warning, hostile alien force, and miners being sent somewhere deeply unsafe anyway. The trailer explains that mining facilities have gone dark after attacks by the Corespawn, forcing players to take on the role of Reclaimers. Unlike the main Deep Rock Galactic, Rogue Core is structured as a roguelite. Players enter hostile facilities with limited gear, find weapons and upgrades in the field, use Exponite to power up, and push toward the Rift at the deepest levels. That gives the spin-off a sharper run-based identity while keeping the same broad flavor: dwarves, danger, teamwork and shouting Rock and Stone until the mission goes wrong. Early Access begins on May 20 for PC. For existing fans, the question is whether Rogue Core preserves the cooperative charm of Deep Rock while making each run feel different enough. For newcomers, it could be an easier entry point into the franchise’s chaos.
