LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight briefly became playable early on Xbox

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight briefly escaped Arkham early. Several Xbox users reportedly managed to download and play the full game over the weekend, more than ten days before its official May 22 release. According to VGC, the issue appears to have affected some players who pre-ordered or received redeemable codes, with consoles telling them the game was ready to start instead of blocking access until launch day. The issue has since been fixed, but screenshots and Reddit posts suggest some players reached the opening level before access was closed. It is another reminder that modern preload systems are convenient but fragile. One wrong permission setting can turn a locked pre-order into a public leak. For players, the smart move is to wait for official early access through the Digital Deluxe Edition, which grants up to 72 hours before the wider release. For Warner Bros. and TT Games, this is probably annoying but not catastrophic unless major story, gameplay or performance details spread widely. The full game launches May 22 on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC.
