My Nintendo Store will be renamed Nintendo Store on May 27

Nintendo is simplifying the name of its official online shop. From May 27, My Nintendo Store will be renamed Nintendo Store. The company says there will be no change to the service or products, meaning this is a brand clean-up rather than a functional overhaul. The name change has been confirmed by Nintendo accounts in multiple regions, including Japan, America and the UK, so it appears to be a global shift where the My Nintendo Store name is currently used. The move makes sense. The My Nintendo branding ties back to Nintendo’s loyalty program, which launched in 2016 alongside Miitomo, but the online store has grown into a broader place for games, hardware and merchandise. Dropping 'My' makes the shop easier to understand, especially for newer Switch 2 customers. Nintendo has not suggested that the My Nintendo loyalty program itself will be renamed or changed. For players, the practical impact is minimal: same store, cleaner name. For Nintendo, it is another small step in tidying the brand architecture around its expanding digital and retail ecosystem.
