Pragmata passes two million copies sold in just sixteen days

Pragmata has hit another major milestone. Capcom has announced that the sci-fi hacking action-adventure has now surpassed two million units sold in sixteen days. That is a very strong result for a completely new IP, especially in a market where major publishers often rely heavily on existing brands. Pragmata launched worldwide on April 17 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC, with the Switch 2 version arriving in Japan on April 24. The game had already passed one million copies in its first two days, and this new figure shows that momentum did not collapse after launch weekend. The combination of action, hacking puzzles, the lunar setting and the bond between Hugh and Diana appears to be working with players. For Capcom, this is important because it gives the company another potential franchise pillar beyond Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and Street Fighter. For players, it is also encouraging: big publishers may still take chances on new worlds when those games actually sell.
