STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT launches August 20 with English text support

STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT now has a Japanese release date: August 20, 2026. The rebooted visual novel will launch for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PS4, Switch and PC via Steam, with English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese text support and Japanese audio. That language support is important because Spike Chunsoft previously confirmed plans for a western release in 2026, and the Japanese version including English text raises the possibility that international players may not have to wait much longer. STEINS;GATE remains one of the most respected science adventure visual novels, built around time travel, conspiracy, friendship and the consequences of changing the past. The reboot promises updated visuals, a refined interface and a revitalized story, while still following Rintaro Okabe and his group of tech-savvy students. For visual novel fans, this is a major calendar item. The original is already a classic, so the reboot needs to modernize presentation without flattening the strange, emotional rhythm that made it work.
