The Sinking City 2 gets summer launch window and new gameplay trailer

The Sinking City 2 now has a clearer launch window. Frogwares has announced that the Lovecraftian survival horror sequel will launch this summer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG. The new gameplay trailer also gives players a better look at the sequel’s shift toward survival horror. Frogwares says the game still keeps investigative elements, but this time combat, exploration and survival are more central. That is an important repositioning because the first Sinking City leaned heavily on detective work and atmosphere, while the sequel appears to be aiming for more direct tension. The story is set in a flooded vision of 1920s Arkham, with protagonist Calvin Rafferty caught in the aftermath of a failed dreaming ritual that has trapped his girlfriend, Faye, in a mysterious sleep. For horror fans, this could be one of the stronger AA releases of the summer if Frogwares balances investigation, combat pressure and cosmic dread properly.
