Smalland: Survive the Wilds launches on Switch 2
Smalland: Survive the Wilds arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 today, bringing a big survival adventure at a tiny scale to Nintendo’s newer hardware. Players control Smallfolk venturing into the Overland, where insects become mounts, plants become landmarks and ordinary weather can turn dangerous fast. The game includes base-building, crafting, creature taming, gliding, grappling, armor upgrades, story quests and multiplayer for up to ten players. That makes it one of the more substantial survival games currently available on Switch 2. The platform fit is interesting. Survival sandboxes can work very well in handheld mode if the interface is readable and performance holds up, but open-world systems can also stress portable hardware. For Switch 2 owners, Smalland gives another option beyond cozy life sims and first-party releases. It is not a brand-new game, but it is a useful library addition early in the console’s life. If the port is stable, it could become a strong pick for players who want survival crafting without the usual human-scale forests and zombies.
