Subnautica 2 dives onto GeForce NOW at Early Access launch
Subnautica 2 is not only launching through Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox and Game Pass today. NVIDIA has also confirmed that the game is available on GeForce NOW at Early Access launch. That is useful for players who want to explore the alien ocean without relying on a powerful local PC or waiting through a large install. Cloud availability matters especially for Early Access games because performance, system requirements and hardware access can all shape first impressions. Subnautica 2 is a visually ambitious survival game with co-op support, base-building and large underwater environments, so being able to stream it from NVIDIA’s cloud hardware may open the door for players with weaker machines. The bigger question is latency and image quality. Subnautica is not a twitch shooter, so it should be a better cloud fit than many competitive games. If GeForce NOW support holds up, it gives the sequel one more route to reach its huge wishlist audience on day one.
