Black Jacket locks in May 12 launch for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch and PC

Black Jacket now has a firm release date. Developed by MooCow Games and published by Digerati, the card-based roguelike will launch on May 12 for PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The game’s setup turns blackjack into a fantasy combat system, with players building hands, managing risk and fighting their way through a dangerous dungeon. That is a clever hook because blackjack is already built around tension: push too far and you bust, play too cautiously and you lose momentum. Turning that into roguelike combat gives the genre a simple but strong identity. For players who enjoy Balatro-style card experimentation or dungeon crawlers that can be learned quickly but mastered slowly, Black Jacket may be worth watching. The key will be whether it has enough enemy variety, card synergies and run-changing decisions to stay interesting beyond the novelty of the concept. A multi-platform launch also gives it a better chance to find players who enjoy short-session strategy on console and handheld.
