Idol Manager: Virtual Venture announced as a VTuber agency management sequel
Idol Manager is moving into the VTuber era. PLAYISM and Glitch Pitch have announced Idol Manager: Virtual Venture for PC, positioning it as a sequel to the original pop-star management simulation. The new game shifts attention toward virtual streamers and agency management, which makes a lot of sense in 2026. The idol business and creator economy have increasingly overlapped, with agencies, avatars, streaming schedules, fan communities, scandals and parasocial relationships all becoming part of the same entertainment machine. That gives Virtual Venture strong simulation potential. The original Idol Manager worked because it understood that entertainment management is not only about cute performances; it is also about pressure, contracts, public image, money and difficult decisions behind the scenes. A VTuber-focused sequel can go even further, because the industry adds technology, anonymity, online culture and global fan management to the mix. The game is coming to PC via Steam Early Access with English, Japanese and Simplified Chinese support. If it keeps the original’s sharp edge, Virtual Venture could become a very timely management sim.
