There’s Something Wrong with the Hero’s Choices may have one of the most honest titles of the year. PLAYISM and developer minatonezumi have announced the comedic text-based adventure for PC via Steam, with a 2026 release window and English, Japanese and Korean language support. The game follows a party of heroes sent to defeat the Dark Lord, except the hero’s dialogue choices are not exactly what you would expect from a legendary savior. The Steam version is enhanced from an earlier free version and adds new episodes, character sheets and language support. The numbers are impressive for a text adventure: more than 2,000 event illustrations and over 30 endings. That suggests a game built around experimentation, bad decisions, abrupt failures and replaying scenes just to see how strange the next outcome can get.
