There’s Something Wrong with the Hero’s Choices announced for PC

There’s Something Wrong with the Hero’s Choices may have one of the most honest titles of the year. PLAYISM and developer minatonezumi have announced the comedic text-based adventure for PC via Steam, with a 2026 release window and English, Japanese and Korean language support. The game follows a party of heroes sent to defeat the Dark Lord, except the hero’s dialogue choices are not exactly what you would expect from a legendary savior. The Steam version is enhanced from an earlier free version and adds new episodes, character sheets and language support. The numbers are impressive for a text adventure: more than 2,000 event illustrations and over 30 endings. That suggests a game built around experimentation, bad decisions, abrupt failures and replaying scenes just to see how strange the next outcome can get. For players who like comedy visual novels, absurd RPG parodies and choice-driven chaos, this could be a very easy wishlist. The best version of this concept will not just be random; it will make every stupid option feel tempting enough to click.
