Iron Bramble announced by Rusted Moss developer as a momentum-based Metroidvania
Iron Bramble may be one of the most exciting announcements from today’s PLAYISM Game Show. Published by PLAYISM and developed by Rusted Moss developer Emlise with Mini Bunnies, it is described as a momentum-based Metroidvania for PC, due in 2027. The game inherits the physics-based grappling-hook action that helped Rusted Moss stand out, but refreshes the world into a sci-fi and dark-fantasy hybrid. Players follow fae explorer Lilac inside the Iron Bramble, a vast cyber-gothic megastructure filled with robots possessed by the souls of the dead. That premise is wonderfully strange, but the real test will be movement. Rusted Moss earned attention because its grappling was expressive, skill-based and a little intimidating. Iron Bramble appears to double down on that identity, combining elastic traversal with precise gunplay. For Metroidvania fans, this is exactly the kind of sequel-in-spirit announcement that matters: not just more rooms and upgrades, but a movement system with personality. It is still far away, but Iron Bramble should go straight onto the wishlist for players who enjoy demanding traversal.
