Midnight Train: New Moon announced as a full remake of the cult RPG Maker horror adventure

Midnight Train is being rebuilt for a new audience. PLAYISM and LydiaBluebell have announced Midnight Train: New Moon, a full remake of the 2020 free RPG Maker horror adventure. The new version is coming to PC via Steam in 2027 with English, Spanish, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese support. The original Midnight Train earned praise among fans of free exploration horror games, especially outside Japan, and this remake aims to preserve the story-driven structure while completely revamping graphics, visual effects and game balance. The setup follows Luna Wyndell, a girl searching for a place by train, only to discover that all other passengers have vanished and the train has stopped in a strange void. From there, exploration, puzzle-solving and sudden danger reveal fragments of the truth. This is a smart remake candidate because RPG Maker horror has a passionate audience but can be intimidating or obscure for new players. If New Moon modernizes presentation without losing the original’s unsettling charm, it could become a strong bridge between classic free horror-game culture and today’s Steam audience.
