Pit Panic announced for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC

Pit Panic has been announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, with a July 2026 release window. Developed by Nautilus Games and published by Graffiti Games, the game is a roguelike 2D platformer about an archaeologist descending into increasingly dangerous handcrafted pits. The headline number is eye-catching: more than 1,000 handcrafted levels across four biomes, along with bosses, daily challenges, environmental puzzles and plenty of traps. That matters because roguelike platformers often lean too heavily on procedural generation, which can sometimes create rooms that feel functional but not memorable. A large handcrafted pool could give Pit Panic better rhythm, stronger level identity and more deliberate difficulty spikes. The hook also seems clear: fast retries, exploration, vertical danger and a steady sense of pushing one room deeper than you probably should. For players who enjoy Spelunky-style pressure, precision platforming and short-session challenge runs, Pit Panic is one to watch this summer.
