Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy story trailer reveals a sinister Sicilian mystery

Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy has a new story trailer, and it leans hard into disappearance, trauma and institutional horror. Set thirteen months after six girls vanish in Sicily, the game follows Susan as she searches for her missing daughter at a residence near Mount Etna. What she finds appears to involve unsettling symbols, dangerous stalkers, supernatural forces and a place with far too many secrets. The Remothered series has always been built around psychological horror, hiding, pursuit and unraveling disturbing histories, and Red Nun’s Legacy seems to continue that direction with modern production values. Gematsu’s trailer breakdown points to stealth, perception, hypnosis and environmental manipulation as part of the experience. That is important because stalker horror needs more than scary enemies. Players need tools, vulnerability and enough uncertainty to make every room feel unsafe. The game is planned for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2 and PC in 2026. For horror fans, this looks like one of the more character-driven genre releases still circling this year.
