Famitsu gives Saros a 36/40 score
The latest Famitsu review scores are out, and Housemarque’s Saros has landed a strong 36/40. All four Famitsu reviewers gave the PS5 sci-fi action game a 9, which is the kind of consensus score that suggests the game’s difficulty, style and structure are landing well with Japanese critics. The rest of this week’s scores are more modest: Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club received 29/40, while Psyvariar 3, Akuma’s Paradise and Sudden Strike 5 each received 28/40. For Saros, the timing is useful. The game has had strong engagement but more complicated sales discussion, with estimates suggesting a solid but not explosive launch. A strong Famitsu score helps reinforce its reputation as a high-quality, demanding action title rather than a mass-market crowd-pleaser. Housemarque games often build long-tail respect through challenge, systems mastery and word of mouth. This score fits that pattern. It may not turn Saros into a mainstream blockbuster, but it gives fans another reason to keep talking about it.
