Microsoft’s new games boss rebrands Xbox again, this time to XBOX

Microsoft’s new gaming leadership era continues to get unusually public. After previously moving the division away from the Microsoft Gaming name and back toward Xbox, Asha Sharma has now shifted the brand styling again, this time to all-caps XBOX. The change followed a social-media poll asking fans whether the brand should be written as Xbox or XBOX. More than 19,000 people voted, with the capitalized version winning 64 percent of the vote. It is a small branding change on paper, but it says something about Sharma’s early style as Xbox’s new leader: visibly responsive, fan-facing and eager to make symbolic moves that suggest the platform is listening again. The question is whether that energy carries into policies, hardware, software quality and Game Pass clarity. A logo-style tweak will not fix Xbox’s bigger strategic challenges by itself, but it does show the company is trying to rebuild emotional connection with players.
