ARC Raiders update adds new trader, grenade launcher sidearm and Denuvo Anti-Cheat
ARC Raiders has received another major update, and this one is aimed at both content and infrastructure. Update 1.29.0 adds a new trader named Ermal, who offers rotating blueprints, cosmetics and Raider Tokens. It also introduces the Rascal, a grenade launcher sidearm that should shake up close-quarters extraction fights, plus new store content including the Sandveil Set and upcoming Sheath Set.
The more controversial addition is Denuvo Anti-Cheat. Anti-cheat matters in extraction shooters because one bad raid can wipe hard-earned gear and destroy trust, but Denuvo-branded systems often trigger concern from PC players worried about performance, privacy or background services.
ARC Raiders is already in a delicate place after recent update backlash and progression issues, so Embark needs this patch to feel like improvement, not friction. The new trader is the healthier part of the update because late-game players need more reasons to keep extracting, trading and spending loot. Whether the anti-cheat rollout is accepted will depend on stability.
