Forza Horizon 6 launches today on Xbox, PC, cloud and Game Pass
Forza Horizon 6 officially launches today, bringing Playground Games' long-requested Japan setting to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC, Steam, Xbox Cloud, handheld play and Game Pass. After several days of Premium Edition early access, the wider audience can now enter the Horizon Festival's biggest open-world driving adventure yet.
The game features more than 550 real-world cars, a fictionalized Japan map, neon city roads, mountain routes, countryside drives and a huge amount of collecting, racing and exploring. For Xbox, this is one of the most important first-party releases of 2026.
For players, the main appeal is obvious: Japan is the location fans have wanted for years, and the game appears to be landing with both strong reviews and major early player momentum. Game Pass also makes this a very different kind of launch from a traditional premium-only racing release. If the servers hold up and the live-service updates deliver, Forza Horizon 6 could easily become the year's biggest racing game.
