Noxcode enters Steam Early Access with chaotic jump-quest platforming
Noxcode enters Steam Early Access today, and the pitch is simple in the best rage-platformer way: reach the top by any means possible. Developed and published by Glitch Squirrel, the game is a chaotic jump-quest platformer where players run, jump, climb, fly, fall and search for shortcuts through strange generated spaces. The current Early Access build includes the base movement system, level and maze generation, meta progression, core loop and settings, while the developer expects updates every few weeks over about a year. Planned full-version additions include custom level generation, shareable codes and extra movement abilities such as wall running, blink, dash, hook and glide. For players, this is one to approach with the right mindset. It sounds like the kind of game that can become funny, frustrating and streamable if the physics feel sharp enough. If falling is part of the design, the controls need to be good enough that failure feels like your fault. Early Access should show whether Noxcode has that balance.
