Shikhondo: Blue Pieta launches today on Steam and Stove
Shikhondo: Blue Pieta launches today for PC via Steam and Stove, bringing the Korean fantasy bullet-hell series into side-scrolling form for the first time. Developed by DeerFarm and published by CFK, the game follows a rookie grim reaper and a vampire hunter through a foreign city filled with supernatural bosses, cursed spaces and dense projectile patterns. The sequel shifts away from the original series’ top-down format, which should make it feel meaningfully different for returning fans. The boss lineup is also deliberately strange: Spirit of the Flower, Sister Maria, The Three Witches, Tooth Fairy, Unknown and a final boss still kept under wraps. Full voice acting is included, with performers such as Ikumi Hasegawa, Yoshino Aoyama and Sayumi Suzushiro, and ultra-wide support up to 32:9 should please PC players with serious monitor setups. For shoot ’em up fans, the question is whether the side-scrolling shift strengthens readability and rhythm or dilutes the original Shikhondo identity. Either way, May 18 now has a new bullet-hell release to watch.
