Q-Games announces Yodelee Golf as the next PixelJunk game
Q-Games has announced Yodelee Golf, the next entry in the PixelJunk family, and it sounds delightfully strange. The game is an open-world cooperative golf adventure for up to four players, currently confirmed for PC via Steam, with other platforms under consideration.
The big gimmick is real-time transcription: what players say appears as giant 3D letters above their character and can affect the world around them. Q-Games is also pushing the idea that golf is only part of the adventure, with players climbing mountains, searching caves, riding gondolas, drifting across lakes and uncovering odd surprises around the world.
This sounds less like a standard sports game and more like a social toy built around golf as the excuse for chaos. Yodelee Golf will be playable at BitSummit PUNCH in Kyoto from May 22 to May 24. For cozy multiplayer fans, this is one of the more memorable announcements of the day because it has a clear personality before we even see the full game loop.
