Arcade Archives Cameltry launches June 4, bringing Taito’s 1990 maze-action oddity back through Hamster’s preservation pipeline. Cameltry is not a standard platformer, shooter or racer. It is a game about rotating a maze to guide a ball to the goal before the timer expires, which means it belongs to that wonderful arcade category of “simple idea, instant panic.” The new Arcade Archives 2 version comes to PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2, while the standard Arcade Archives version lands on PS4 and Switch. This is exactly why Hamster’s work matters. Not every classic game is a famous mascot or giant franchise. Some are clever little arcade experiments that would otherwise disappear into memory, screenshots and very expensive original boards.
