Rayman Legends Retold is official, and it launches October 1. After months of leaks, rumors and suspicious store activity, Ubisoft finally showed the remake during State of Play. The trailer reveals a new visual approach and confirms plenty of classic Rayman chaos, including co-op platforming and the kind of perspective-shifting level design that made the original so beloved. This is a tricky remake because Rayman Legends already aged beautifully. Ubisoft cannot simply make it shinier and call the job done. It needs to justify the return without breaking the rhythm, movement and musical stage energy that made the 2013 game special. Still, Rayman being visible again is good news by itself. Ubisoft remembered the limbless little king exists. That is already progress.
